1950s. Tours, France. Editions Berger-Levrault. The book is in Near Fine condition, bound in bound in full brown leather with gold flecked, marbled boards. It is hand signed by Charles de Gaulle in blue pen on an inside front page and dedicated to a Charles Nicolay, and is dated January 24, 1959. Written entirely in French. Embossed in gold on the spine and inside front cover. There are no owners markings or owners bookplate. The spines are hubbed and it has a sewn in, satin book mark which is red, green and yellow. It is printed on thick, handmade paper that is rough cut on the edges. Acquired from the estate of a world-renowned French-American Cardiologist who had an extremely strong Catholic faith and whose medical research was both published and awarded., , LOT REF #23-968
