Description
China, 18th-19th century. Well potted with a globular body supported on a short spreading foot and rising to a tall slender neck with a galleried rim, the neck and body finely modeled with four bowstring bands in imitation of bamboo, covered overall in a rich, finely crackled, turquoise glaze pooling and darkening in the recesses encircling each bowstring as well as the foot.
Provenance: London trade.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and firing flaws, minor rubbing to the foot.
