Description
The heavy porcelain molded jar has four lobed panels with hand painted cherry tree designs separated by iron red mon floral paintings. There is a dart border at the foot in under glaze cobalt.
The shallow, rounded foot is unglazed with some grit adhering. The inner mouth is also not glazed. There are no maker’s marks or labels.
MEASUREMENTS
4 ½” (11.4 cm) diameter x 5” (12.7 cm) tall. Weighs 15.6 oz (440 g)
CONDITION
There are no cracks, chips, repairs or breaks. There are painting errors during manufacture. The enamels are bright and not worn. There was some gilding on the shoulder that is now worn.
