Description
Pair of hand painted vintage Byobu two-fold screens in the manner of Ogata Korin, mid-20th century, in ink, gouache, and gold leaf on paper laid down to board, the two screens together form an image of plum trees with white blossoms blooming on either side of a rushing stream, signed to lower left most corner.

Condition
Both screens having areas where the paper is lifting. These areas are mostly around the edges and down the center near the hinges. Scattered small chips with paint loss also around edges. Not distracting. Left has 8-10 smaller areas of lift in the central areas of the screen. The right screen has a l. 10" horizontal lift on the left side.
