Japy Freres & Cie (French, founded 1806-c. 1930), gilt metal mantel clock, 19th century, having a figure of a Roman general on a rearing horse, on a foliate base in the Baroque taste, the dial having Roman numerals, the movement stamped '3496' and 'Gvf Rey Jne Brevete' with Japy Freres medallion, on black wooden base.

Provenance: From the Private Collection of Leigh Wilson, Atlanta, Georgia.

Approximate dimensions: clock h. 16", w. 17", d. 4.75"; base h. 2", w. 20.75", d. 9".
