TWO CHINESE EMBROIDERED CIVIL RANK BADGES
Chinese, mid-19th century, silk embroidery on silk foundation. One framed, shows a blue-headed golden pheasant to center, auspicious objects in the waves with gold details, the black ground with gold thread scroll work with red sun to the sky with clouds and bats, and a continuous gold scroll border. The other a five-tailed silver phoenix looking to the red sun with auspicious objects in the sky.
