The reference 25589 is often referred to as the "little brother" to the "Quantième Perpétuel" reference 25657 that carried AP's perpetual calendar legacy through the late 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The two models share a simple and elegant case shape with relatively short, curved lugs as well as a dial design with restrained fonts and a clean layout for ease of reading.
