Description
Available for your consideration is a large prehistoric Salado Red Ware pottery jar. Salado Red Ware, also known as Roosevelt Red Ware, was produced by the ancestral Pueblo, the Anasazi, between about 1280 A.D. and 1450 A.D.. Coil constructed and fired the Salado Red Ware was widely distributed in the southwest. This pottery jar is an attractive mottled red and black that appears to have made for storage purposes and bears mute testimony to the ingenuity of a people living in a harsh environment. A great addition to your collection so add it today!
Anasazi pottery is distinguished from that of other Southwestern culture areas by its predominant colors (gray, white, and sometimes red). Make this one yours today and own a piece of prehistory!
