There is a power to the battle between two stallions taking place on the rolling hills of an open meadow. We capture a moment of clarity between the blur of manes, hooves, and teeth. Both are raised on their rear legs, their forelegs throwing thrusts at each others chests. The right horse seizes an opportune moment and brings a mighty bite down on the chest of his foe. The bronze sculpture was cast using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for conservation. It is mounted upon a black marble base with the artist Milo's signature.
