Fine and rare pair of federal style Knife Urns, fourth quarter of the 19th century, the mahogany urns resting on ogee bracket feet, the square bases line and astragal inlay, band-inlaid base, with rounded tops panels and domed covers with acorn-shaped finials, the interior divisions intact; branded (Berkey & Gay Furniture) in a round signature.

Hot Iron Branded: BERKEY & GAY * FURNITURE to underside. Numbered:2785 & 1841.

Inner construction branded and numbered: 14 (3x) and 4 (3x) times respectively to each urn.

Condition report: Minor veneer losses. Otherwise excellent for age and use.
