HERON MARTINEZ MENDOZA POTTERY ACROBAT GEESE, ROOSTER, BIRD SCULPTURE, MEXICAN

This fine art sculpture was made in Mexico by Heron Martinez ( Mendoza.) The Early White Period is considered by collectors to be one of the pinnacles of his work and portrays a humorous whimsical depiction of stacked acrobatic geese with a rooster and and a song bird hitching a ride on top, measures 9 Inches height x 7 Inches length x 4-1/2 In. width. and is in very good to excellent condition and would make a stunning gift or addition to any fine collection.

The artist is widely collected and his art is in the collections of the International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona California and there is a gallery devoted to his art in the Folk Art Museum of Central Texas. Heron Martinz lived from 1918 to 1990 in Acatlan de Osorio in Puebla, Mexico.
