BIOGRAPHY:
A student at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, in the class of Alexandre Cabanel, he exhibited two paintings in Besancon in 1893, including a view of Concarneau, then in Carcassonne the following year, three canvases.December 20, 1894, he married in Paris, Sophie Laure Dornier (1852-1899). According to the composer Reynaldo Hahn, Duray frequented the draftsman Louis Montegut (1855-1906), who organized, at that time, musical evenings with the family of Alphonse Daudet and the pianist Edouard Risler.He was at the Salon of French Artists from 1899, of which he became a member, then at the Salon des Independants in 1928-1929 where he presented the paintings Le Bateauphantom and Calme du soir. A widower for a year, he remarried in 1900 with Jeanne Adele Raulin. His witness is his brother, the architect Henry Duray (born in 1856).Around 1905-1908, he lived in Paris at 9 rue Bleue. He died in Paris on May 18, 1937.
