Description

In excellent condition. Four well shaped fingers, copper nails. Approx. 11 3.4" x 8" x 4 3/4" H. Offered together with two antique bentwood Scandinavian tine boxes, both with laced and wood peg construction, one of thin wood and unpainted, the other painted dark green and of thicker wood. Green box approx. 6 1/2" x 4" x 3 1/2" H. The fourth an antique bentwood oval low box, laced construction, with an ink notation on the top that may read 1823 or 1023. This box approx. 8 1/2" x 4 3/4" x 2". Provenance: the estate of John Long, highly regarded Virginia antiques dealer and collector.
