Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Ge Kiln Porcelain Gourd Bottle Vase. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slighty concave. All reserved in Ge Kiln, is deliberate crackle, or a network of cracks in the glaze, distinctive GE crackled glaze also known as jinsi tiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of several lines that appear in the crackled surface in greyish or brown underglaze base colour. Ge ware is a type of celadon or greenware in Chinese pottery. It was one of the Five Great Kilns of the Song Dynasty.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
