Description: One exquisite antique oil painting from the early 19th century depicting the portrait of an English gentleman named John Whistler from Curds Hall in Great Fransham, Norfolk. Frontal picture of John Whistler, seated, in the subject side profile, taken from Curds Hall Great Fransham, Norfolk. He is seated in his chair with his hands clasped, sporting a striking black overcoat, thick silver grey hair, and a rosy complexion on his nose and cheeks. Curds Hall was demolished in the early to mid-20th century, hence it is no longer in existence. Curds Hall Barn is currently all that is left. school for English. Oil painting on canvas without signature. enclosed in an elaborate gold frame. Back hanging thread suitable for putting on display at home. in the early 1800s, roughly. Provenance acquired via an upscale auction sticker on the back.
