1 Large 19th century pierced and carved pearl button.
From the collection of the late Shirley Case of Missouri. Here is a wonderful carved and pierced pearl base with a brass horse and rider and all framed with a cut steel border. There are three known designs that were created in this technique, one is the crane, one is the rose and this example. All have always been desirable among collectors. We sold the crane in our November 2023 auction and now we have up here this even harder to find example in this technique.
