Description

Gilt bronze, over 1 3/4” in height. Slightly broad beams with a scalloped halo and radials at the quarter points describing a saltire. Central relief vacant cross with the charges and footrest delineated. Reverse plain and showing evidence of open face mold production. Surface worn and textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on an 18” modern gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with Certificate of Authenticity. Rare and large early example.
