Scrittura in corsivo, inchiostro marrone. 38 stemmi dipinti a guazzo. Carte 1-7 con traccia di gora nel margine. Magnifico Stemmario manoscritto di Venezia del XVII secolo. Dopo secoli di chiusura del patriziato di Venezia, l'appartenenza al patriziato iniziò a essere ceduta nel 1646 per un pagamento di 100.000 ducati: i candidati presentavano istanza al Senato che votava per l’ammissione. Durante la Guerra di Candia furono ammesse 75 famiglie (1646-1669), sulla scia della Guerra di Morea 48 famiglie (1684-1817) e tra il 1776 e il 1788, altre 11 famiglie.Sono qui presentati gli stemmi delle 38 famiglie che furono aggregate al patriziato veneto tra il 1684 e il 1699, grazie al sostegno fornito per le spese della guerra di Morea. I loro stemmi, finemente eseguiti e brevi spiegazioni, coprono le prime 19 carte. Dal foglio 21 le copie delle istanze delle rispettive famiglie e gli esiti delle votazioni del Senato.

Magnificent manuscript with Venetian coat of arms from the 17th century. After centuries of closure of the patriciate of Venice, membership in the patriciate began to be sold in 1646 for a payment of 100,000 ducats: the candidates submitted an application to the Senate which voted for admission. During the War of Candia 75 families were admitted (1646-1669), in the wake of the War of Morea 48 families (1684-1817) and between 1776 and 1788, another 11 families.Here are the coats of arms of the 38 families that were aggregated to the Venetian patriciate between 1684 and 1699, thanks to the support provided for the expenses of the Morea war. Their finely executed coats of arms and brief explanations cover the first 19 leaves. From sheet 21 starts the copies of the requests of the respective families and the results of the votes of the Senate.
