Joseph Pierre recounts, based on various sources, a curious and amusing episode in which George Sand was the protagonist. An 'unwelcome' visitor, the 'moraliste' member of the Academy Joseph Droz, had arrived in Nohant and wished to meet the writer: with the complicity of Francois Rollinat, an important political figure close to G. Sand, J. Droz was introduced to Ursule Josse, who pretended to be the 'Dame de Nohant'.Joseph Pierre, 1862-1936, local scholar and historian, owner of the Château de Charon, in Maillet, was a Berry scholar, director of the Revue du Berry, general secretary of the Académie du Centre, he dedicated his life to the collection of numerous documents relating to the Indre department. Part of his collection, lost at an auction in 2017, concerned George Sand and his entourage: some documents were acquired by the Musée George. Using his skills, J.
