With related ephemera, including program to Toledo's 1992-93 Fall-Winter Collection show and a color snapshot of Ruben and Isabel, 1980s. Cuban-American fashion designer Isabel Toledo (1960-2019) and her husband Ruben burst onto the New York art and fashion seen in 1984 when Isabel presented her first fashion collection at Danceteria. Soon her clothes were being sold at Barneys and other high-end boutiques around the globe. Except for a short stint as creative director of Anne Klein in 2006-7, Isabel helmed her own fashion line.
