Jack Brusca an American artist, had his first one man show at Galeria Bonino in New York in 1969.
Moshe Elazar Castel is an Israeli painter, born in Jerusalem. Castel was a founding member of the New Horizons group, combining elements of abstract European art with Eastern motifs.
He was inspired by basalt blocks when visiting the ruins of an ancient synagogue in Korazin, in the Galilee. He began to use this ground basalt, mixed with sand and glue, then infused with rich colors.
Most works are embellished with archaic forms derived from ancient script, symbolism and mythological signs from the Hebrew and Sumerian culture.His murals hang in the Knesset, Binyanei HaUma Convention Center, Rockefeller Center in New York, and the official residence of the President of Israel in Jerusalem.
Opening in 2010, The Moshe Castel Museum of Art, designed by Israeli architect David Resnik, overlooks the desert landscape in Ma aleh Adumim.
