Irmgard was born and raised in Winterhur, Switzerland where her desire to paint began.
Her family moved across the Rhine into Germany where she was given private lessons and began to hone her skills as an artist.
After meeting and marrying the concert singer Andy Rawn, moving to Southern California. She completed four years of Fine Art Studies at UCLA where her favorite discipline was etching.
During her 30 year art career she became a very accomplished artist. She is most widely recognized for an International distribution of multi-plate landscape etchings and ?Valley Lake? is part of that series.
