An antique Chinese two-tiered lunch or bento box. Late Qing or early Republic of China era, first quarter of the 20th century. Red lacquered wooden box of rectangular shape resting on four feet. Unmoveable top handle. Two compartments. Hand-painted floral ornaments with gilt accents on the body. Convex lid is set with a white porcelain plaque garnished with cobalt blue patterns and the Shuangxi character symbolizing happiness and luck. Collectible Oriental Asian Decor And Tableware, Lacquer Ware.
