About the Item
I cannot find anywhere the information that came with this gorgeous 19th-century European landscape when I bought it. It is signed, but I can't make out the signature. So it is what it is: a beautifully rendered depiction of a lake with cottages and a church hidden by trees. Wonderful composition, and very subtle and fine rendering of water and sky, along with superb realism in the trees. Comes framed in antique hand-carved wood frame. Great condition. 15" x 23.5" without frame, 19" x 26" with frame.
