This large chromolithograph print is from E.A. Wallis Budge’s The Book of the Dead - Facsimiles of the Hunefer, Anhai, Kerasher, Nu and Netchemet Papyri. Published by The British Museum and others in London in 1899. Transcripts and translations by EA Wallis Budge, Keeper of the Egyptian and Assyrian Antiquities. Printed by Harrison and Sons, London. This work contains a series of facsimiles and transcripts of hieroglyphic papyri which illustrate the development and literary history of the ‘The Book of the Dead’ during a period of sixteen hundred years. These documents illustrate the history of that great funereal work in the period which lies between B.C. 2000 and B.C. 1700. Size: 23in x 28.5in (58cm x 72cm)
