WMF (attrib) Art Nouveau Silvered Pewter Large Jug and Basin Set This is an impressive Jugenstihl bowl and pitcher set made from silvered polished pewter materials. It is believed to have been manufactured by WMF. WMF is a German tableware manufacturer, founded in 1853 is known fpr their art nouveau and Jugenstihl designs. The set bears the marking "Gath & Chaves," which refers to a renowned luxury Argentine department store founded in 1883 in Buenos Aires. Eventually, the store was acquired by Harrod's in London.
