A pair of bird's-eye views of European slave-trading posts in what is now the Central Region of south Ghana on a single sheet from the atlas volume of Prévost d'Exiles' landmark collection of travel narratives, Histoire Générale des Voyages. The view on the left is of Fort Nassau, the Dutch Gold Coast stronghold near Moree in present-day Ghana. On the right is a view of the British Anamabo Castle, also known as Fort William, the center of the 18th-century British slave trade along the Ghanian Gold Coast.
