Antique daguerreotype photograph of a woman and child, enclosed in an ornamental case. The picture was taken Monday June 29, 1863, and is of Cora & Ane, according to description behind the picture. The case has a scene of a man with dog (slight crack to front right corner of case), when open, measures 6.50"x3.50" and is 3.00" when closed. It features embossed elaborate scroll designs, characteristic of 19th-century decorative art, which were typically used to protect and display photographic portraits. NOTE: The picture is heavily darkened over time. Pleae see pictures
