The carved ebonized wood caparisoned elephants adorned with vermeil silver overlay profusely inlaid with semi-precious gems and stones, surmounted by a conformingly decorated howdah, each housed in a custom velvet-lined clamshell case, 2 pieces

Overall good condition with shelf wear, scattered scuffs and scratches, and oxidation commensurate with age. A few gems missing, with scattered gems loose. One with howdah loose, the other leaning. One lacking the floral bouquet in trunk. A few scattered small chips in the wood at figure's feet. The tusks and eyes have been removed, tusk covers and separated gems retained with the lot. Cases in good condition with general shelf wear and minor soiling. Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request.
