Bushkill Falls is a natural attraction located in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. The falls are named for the Native American term "bushkill", which means "stream of the woods".
The story of Bushkill Falls dates back to the 19th century, when the area was first settled by European immigrants. The falls were discovered by a man named Charles E. Peters in the late 1800s, and he soon began to promote the site as a tourist destination.
In 1904, Peters opened a hotel and park at the site, which featured walking paths, bridges, and observation decks to view the falls. Over the years, the park expanded to include additional attractions, such as a zoo and a Native American exhibit.
