"The Heifer, The Goat and the Sheep in the Company with the Lion" is a fable about a heifer, a goat, and a sheep who decide to travel together for protection against predators. As they journey, they encounter a lion, and the heifer offers herself to the lion in order to spare the goat and the sheep. He has also been called a "proto-surrealist" and was greatly admired by André Breton and others in the movement
