Condition
These gelatin silver prints with margins on Agfa paper are in generally excellent condition. Upon examination under raking light, subtle raised areas are visible on each print which correspond to the location of hinges on the reverse. The margin edges are gently worn. Individual condition notes are as follows:

1: Arena y Pinitos (Sand and Small Pines), 1920s
6 5/8 x 9 1/2 in.
Upon examination under raking light, some gentle rippling is visible in the upper and lower margins.

7 1/8 x 9 1/2 in.

3: Votos (Votive Offering), 1969
7 3/8 x 9 5/8 in.

4: Luz Restirada (Lengthened Light), 1944
9 1/2 x 6 7/8 in.
Visible only in raking light are two barely-discernible, soft, linear impressions at the upper and lower portions of the left margin, which do not appear to break the emulsion.

5: Dos Mujeres y la Gran Cortina con Sombras (Two Women, a Large Blind, and Shadows), 1977
7 1/4 x 9 1/2 in.
Upon examination under raking light, two tiny deposits of retouching are visible in the lower center.

6: Acto Primero (First Act), 1975
7 1/8 x 9 3/8 in.
Upon close examination under raking light, two tiny matte deposits, possibly retouching, are visible in the center portion of the image. There is some minor soiling on the reverse of the mat backing.

7: Caja de Visiones (Box of Visions), 1930s
7 1/2 x 9 1/4 in.
Upon examination under raking light, two linear deposits of original retouching are visible in the upper right. There is a pinpoint-sized accretion of unknown origin in the center right. There is some minor soiling in the lower right margin.

8: Senor de Papantla (The Man from Papantla), 1934-35

9 1/8 x 7 1/8 in.

11: '...Una Pez que llaman Sierra' ('...A Fish Called Saw'), 1942
9 1/2 x 6 7/8 in.
Upon examination under raking light, the following are visible: a soft, crescent-shaped crease in the upper left, and a U-shaped area of original retouching in the lower right. There is a tiny crescent-shaped impression in the lower right margin, at the print edge.

14: Umbral (Threshold), 1947
9 1/2 x 7 5/8 in.
There is a soft handling crease in the upper center.

15: Retrato de lo Eterno (Woman Combing Her Hair), 1932-33
