This poster shows wear and would be a great candidate for restoration. There is a puncture in Cagney's belt line just below the fold line. There are also tack holes in the border.

City for Conquest is a 1940 American drama directed by Academy Award-nominated Anatole Litvak and stars Academy Award-winner James Cagney and Anne Sheridan. Based on the novel of the same name, it details the highs and lows of the careers of a young boxer and his dancer girlfriend in New York. The film also stars Academy Award-, Tony Award-, and Golden Globe Award-winning director Elia Kazan and Academy Award-winner Anthony Quinn.
