Reprint of the 1556 edition with the addition of Fides, religio, mores', first published in Leuven in 1540 que Aethiopvm sub Imperio Preciosi Ioannis of Damiao de Gois and his Deploratio Lappianae gentis.

Johann Boemus (Bohm, Bohemus) (c. 1485–1535) was a German humanist, canon of Ulm Minster, traveller, and Hebraist. He was compiler and author of the first ethnographic compendium of the Early Modern period in Europe.
He was an early 16th-century German ethnographer who is chiefly remembered for his work 'Omnium Gentium Mores, Leges et Ritus" originally published in 1520.
It was reprinted multiple times in the sixteenth century.
This work is an account of customs and laws of Africa, Asia, and Europe.
This rare book includes a detailed history of Tartary including merchant and trade activity , Persian soldiers – training and clothing , "the strange ways" of India Lands that produce only white men
This book was also important in that it was considered to have a direct influence on Sebastian Muenster's 'Cosmography'. (Lach, 336)
There were English translations by William Waterman (1555) (The Fardle of Facions), and Edward Aston, The Manners, Lawes and Customs of all Nations (London, 1611).
