Includes EARLY Nevada! Over half the 3 page paper is mining. Includes notes on the Silver Region of western Utah (soon to be Nevada). He highlighted the Ophir, Mexican, Central, Bryant[x=#8217/]s California and Gould & Curry. [x=#8220/]The Ophir is erecting works to reduce ores using the Frieberg system[x=#8230/].[x=#8221/] The other half of the paper are notes on 1860 California. Visher was an important artist in San Francisco. He sketched early landscapes of California. In 1870 he published [x=#8216/]Pictorial of California[x=#8217/] which gathered nearly 200 of his drawings forming the first comprehensive documentation of California scenery. Virginia City Nevada
