A LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY THREE TRAIN MUSICAL LONGCASE CLOCK, IN THE SHERATON REVIVAL TASTERAIN MUSICAL LONGCASE CLOCK, IN THE SHERATON REVIVAL TASTE the case with a satinwood fan and lyre pediment above an inlaid frieze flanked by carved and reeded columns, the profusely inlaid door with cornucopia and flower sprays, the case crossbanded in East Indian satinwood with acanthus inlaid wings, standing on a mahogany and satinwood inlaid base flanked by further turned and carved columns, The 12" square brass dial with gilt masked spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial, Strike/Silent and tune selection levers to the side fronting a substantial eight day weight driven movement with deadbeat escapement and Harrison maintaining power chiming on eight rods and striking the hours on a gong. Original brass cased weights and steel rod pendulum with heavy brass bob. (237cm high )
