Ca. 800 - 650 BC.
A bucchero grey Villanovan kantharos, with thin sides and two raised handles. The vessel has a bulging bottom, with a slight hollow in the centre for stability. Blackware terracotta called "impasto", constituted the first pottery in Bucchero Nero. This vessel was finished with a slip varnish before being polished.
