Ca. 300 - 100 BC.
An Iron age forged spear head, with a lengthy petaloid blade atop a cylindrical socketing shaft. Each side of the blade exhibits a broad midrib that increased its overall stability when the edges or tip struck their intended target. For similar see: MET Museum Accession Number: 03.23.41–.44.
