A Western Asiatic decorated bronze horse bit, composed with two side panels decorated with floral motifs around which mythological winged figures stand. These figures have inlaid eyes in hard stone. A straight bronze bar connects the two panels. For similar see: Cleveland Museum of Art - DSC08162.

Provenance: Property of an Oxfordshire art professional; previously in an old Canadian collection formed in the 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
