Description

Mahogany, with flat molded crown, four-shelf, twelve-pane upper bookcase with molded mullions, 10" deep shelves. The lower cabinet with locking lift and push flame grained panel concealing a fold-out green felt writing surface and intricately fitted interior having cubbies, drawers and cabinet, keys present. The lower cabinet has three shallow drawers at top, above a single center drawer with arches skirt, flanked by flame veneer beaded door panels over open cabinets. A calendar from 1854 is pasted on the interior. 29 1/2" to writing surface, 93" tall overall, 45" wide, 22" deep. Note inside says this was given to Dr. E. Tower Prizer by a grateful patient Mrs. Carpenter of Lancaster, PA.
