Ripley & Co., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. C. 1870. Alabaster/clambroth fonts, brass connector, starch blue base. The Ripley & Co. "wedding" lamp is considered the holy grail by many collectors. See Thuro I - pg. 187. Embossed, underneath and on thumbwheels.Marked, "RIPLEY & CO / PAT. FEB 1st 1870", on underside of foot. Embossed, "PATENTED/SEP 20 1870", on match holder on one side. Marked, “ELDORADO WBG.CORP.”, Waterbury Brass Goods Corp., Waterbury, Connecticut", on prong burners and thumbwheel. 2 pie crust slip chimneys. 13" base to collar x 9.5" x 4".

Excellent condition. Match holder lacking cover, chips to underside of base.
