The Story of Marco Toso Borella and Murano Glass
The works of Marco Toso Borella are world-famous and grace numerous private collections. His clean, precise chromatic vision is distinctive and easily recognizable, and his creations regularly command large sums.
Born in Venice in 1962, he belongs to one of the most illustrious Murano families. Francesco Toso Borella was among the greatest Murano glass decorators of the 19th Century.
Marco’s first passion was drawing, and he eventually applied that skill to the techniques of glass-enamel and gold application. He has created a dynamic range of works, some of which have been described as “pictorial sculptures.”
