Each red lacquered pigskin chest featuring bat and shou medallion motifs, iron handles and latch hardware, and revealing an open cavity with a wood rectangular space divider and a gold tassel, set atop a painted red wood stand with four legs, 2 pieces

Each overall good condition with scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, shrinkage cracks, indentations, and separation at joints commensurate with age. Some warping to the hide covers, as well one with a 2" tear to the verso and one with two 3" tears to corners verso. One with two 1.5" tears in the top of the hide and subsequent loss. The interiors with general wear and possible staining from moisture damage. The stands with scattered scuffs and scratches, with a few crack in the paint and finish, concentrated at the joints.
