Other Notes: According to an obituary published in the "Los Angeles Times" on April 15, 2001, Brock was born in Ohio and was a member of the Dartmouth College class of 1931. He was also ".....a pioneer of the post-WWII California pottery and dinnerware industry, who founded Brock of California in 1947....Since the age of 70, Bert Brock has devoted himself to the art of papermaking. His art has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States. He is represented in many private and corporate collections...."
