明治時期 薩摩燒花卉紋碗
Japanese. Decorated in enamels and gilt with wisteria on the exterior, interior with story scene, base with two character mark. Meiji period, circa 1900.
Height: 2 7/8 in (7.3 cm) Width: 7 5/8 in (19.4 cm)
Provenance: From the Effron Family, who resided in both Northern California and New York City (Lot 1200 - 1201). It was acquired in Tokyo around 1920 by the great-grandparent of the current owner, who worked served as American diplomat in the Far East during the early 20th century.
