A massive diptych poster of Stendig International's "Designer's Survival Index". Circa 1985. Once a single, large poster, this piece has been neatly cut in two and framed individually. This poster is a very early edition of this continued series, updating the furniture included throughout the editions. Designed by Bridget DeSocio, the graphic designer responsible for updating the annual poster (created each year for Neocon at the Chicago Merchandise Mart, then the major furniture fair in the U.S.). Included are some of the most influential and iconic pieces of this time. Some of the names included are Mies Van Der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Marcel Breuer, Afra and Toby Scarpa, Antonio Citterio, and Studio 65. This set of framed posters are in good condition, some discoloration and marks are found throughout. They each measure 25 in tall, 37 in wide, and 5 in deep. The poster itself measures 36" x 24". Provenance: From the personal collection of designer Ralph Rye - a multi-talented visionary with a career in city planning, architecture, interior design, lighting, and furniture design. Rye has collaborated with some of the finest furniture companies in America including Dunbar, Nessen, Thonet, Jens Risom, and Baker.
