A modern Arts & Crafts style tall oak stool designed by Ralph Rye - referred to as the "All Triangles" design because all the elements of the stool are made with triangular shapes. Circa 1970s. Original wool upholstery. Produced when Ralph Rye was the Chairman of the Furniture Department at Kendall College of Art & Design. The chair design was commissioned by a fellow colleague. An opportunity to own an original design by an influential modern designer. Dimensions: 41"h x 21"d x 21.5"w x 30.5"seat height x 17.25"seat depth. In very good vintage condition. Provenance: From the personal collection of designer Ralph Rye - a multi-talented visionary with a career in city planning, architecture, interior design, lighting, and furniture design. Rye has collaborated with some of the finest furniture companies in America including Dunbar, Nessen, Thonet, Jens Risom, and Baker.
