Description
Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Toba Batak people, ca. 19th century CE. A hand-carved buffalo horn powder flask with a spiralized motif on the exterior. A hinged iron dispenser has a bar spring under the handle to keep the dispensing spout below closed when not in use. Size: 8.375" L x 2" W (21.3 cm x 5.1 cm); 7.8" H (19.8 cm) on included custom stand.

Bottom cap reattached via adhesive. Abrasions and small nicks, with age-commensurate oxidation to iron elements, otherwise in great condition. Nice spirals along body.
