Ptolemaic Kingdom, Egypt, ca. 305 BC - 30 BC, minted 246 BC - 222 BC, Large bronze coin minted in Egypt after the conquest by Alexander the Great. Obverse; Horned head of god Zeus-Ammon facing right, wearing taenia with basileion. Reverse; Eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt. Cornucopia bound with royal diadem in left field. "?X" monogram between legs. Script: Greek Lettering: ?TO?EMAIOY BASI?EOS ? Translation: King Ptolemy. Mint: Alexandria, Egypt. Size: 1.375" W (3.5 cm), weight 34 grams.
