Description
Southeast Asia, Thailand, ca. 20th century CE. A wonderful silver figure of Buddha seated in lotus position with hands in the dhyana mudra of meditation atop his lap. The cascading folds of a robe drape his left shoulder, diagnally crossing his chest to expose his right arm and pectoral as he gazes downward beneath a coiled coiffure arranged in a top bun. Size: 2.6" L x 3.6" W x 5.75" H (6.6 cm x 9.1 cm x 14.6 cm); 6.25" H (15.9 cm) on included custom stand.
